February half term is fast approaching and we have some great activities to get involved with at the farm.
There is an over arching theme of nature and wildlife as we have The Woodland Trust and The Wildlife Trusts joining us throughout the week.
We also have a couple of fun trail activities taking place both of which have a photographic twist.
The first is a nature heart hunt to help us celebrate Valentine’s day.
This fun photographic trail will encourage everyone to look a bit closer to their surroundings to see if they can spot some natural hearts in the nature around us.
The second Trail is based on the Farm and the animals that live here. We are running a Selfie Scavenger Hunt competition which is free to take part in but you will have to use all of your detective skills to figure out the riddles and then take pictures to prove you have worked them out. We then want you send your pictures to us so we can choose a winner who will receive a very special prize.
As well as all this we have 6 meet the small animal sessions (which are already booking up fast). In these sessions you will get a bit closer to some of our smaller animals, giving everyone a chance to learn about how we care for them, what they need to be happy and the opportunity to stroke them and see what they feel like.
We will also be offering a couple of ‘have a go’ activities where we invite you to ‘have a go’ at making an apple heart bird feeder which you can take home and a Chinese Lantern to celebrate Chinese New Year and the year of the dog.
All in all there will be plenty to keep everyone occupied throughout the Half Term so we hope you come and join the fun.
