Gorse Hill City Farm is committed to educating the community about agriculture and horticulture, humane treatment of animals, conservation and the environment. We offer schools and other groups the chance to learn and have fun in a working farm environment. A visit to the farm allows people to experience farm animals without having to go out into the countryside. Many city children have not seen a chicken or cow up close, let alone had the chance to touch or handle them.

What we can offer!

There are a wide range of educational activities aimed at Keystage 1 and 2 but we can provide a visit for any aspect of the curriculum you require, for either a full or half day visit. There is an indoor area or picnic benches for lunch time and two play areas for letting off steam!

If you would like to have a chat with our Education Officer please note:  her usual working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
