Due to lockdown regulations the farm is now closed until restrictions are lifted

Education & School Bookings

Due to current social distancing guidelines our activities are currently suspended. This will be reviewed for the foreseeable future.

Our Education Programme offers lively but focussed outdoor education in a safe and dynamic environment.

Our education team are accredited by the Countryside and Environmental Visit Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS) and we have also been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge (LOtC). Our educational visits are primarily aimed at Early Years, Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 but we are always happy to design a bespoke visit to meet your needs.

Self-led visits can happen at almost any time, but please contact us to book your visit so that we can make sure we have availability.

Activity sessions need to be booked in advance. They are available Monday to Friday. Our activity sessions can be booked for groups of approximately 30 at a time. The length of the session varies according to the key stage it is delivered to.

We have designed sessions with the National Curriculum in mind further information on this can be found below.

The farm is wheelchair friendly and all activities have been designed to be accessed by SEN groups.

If you are here on a planned educational visit, then you can make the most of the education room. The education room is typical classroom sized and comfortably holds a class of children for activities when the weather is poor. This room can also be hired for meetings and parties at a cost of £10 per hour.

We also have an Outside classroom which is ideal for the spring and summer months. This space is set back from the main farm path and is secluded. A brilliant area for learning outside the classroom!

Self-Led Visits

Our self-led school visits are ideal for schools who want to explore the farm on their own terms.

Educational Pricing

As with our general entrance we have worked hard to keep costs low for all our educational activities. Please note that these prices are for pre booked visits for schools and educational groups. These prices are different to the admission fee for the general public.

All educational visits include the general entrance fee and then the activities and extras are added on top. These activities are only open to educational visits and are not open to the general public.

We normally provide groups with an invoice on the day of their visit and there is a period of 30 days to pay. Groups can pay by Cash, Cheque,Card or BACs details of which will be given with the invoice.
